History

Inaugurated in 2018, the Statue of Unity was built to commemorate Sardar Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister. Designed by Ram V. Sutar, it stands on Sadhu Bet Island, near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The project symbolizes national unity and has significantly boosted tourism and local development in the region.
